Opening Speech 3rd UNICE 2026

Opening Speech

Dr. Cahyo Darujati, ST., MT.
Dean of Computer Science Faculty
Narotama University

Assalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh,
Good morning and distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen.

Honorable Rector of Narotama University,
Esteemed keynote speakers and invited speakers,
Respected moderators,
Distinguished scholars, researchers, and participants from various countries.

It is a great honor and pleasure for me to welcome you to the 3rd Universitas Narotama International Conference (UNICE 2026), held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in a hybrid format.

First of all, let us express our deepest gratitude to Almighty God for His blessings, which allow us to gather today in this prestigious international academic forum.

This year’s conference carries an important and timely theme:

“Architecting Tomorrow: Interdisciplinary Synergies in Sustenance Civil Engineering, Computer Science, and Education.”

This theme reflects the reality of our modern world, where complex global challenges can no longer be addressed by a single discipline alone.
Sustainable development, digital transformation, and educational innovation require strong collaboration between engineering, computer science, and education.

Today, we are not only here to present research findings, but also to:

  • exchange ideas,
  • build international academic networks, and
  • explore innovative solutions for a better and more sustainable future.

As part of the Faculty of Computer Science at Narotama University, I firmly believe that technology is not merely a tool, but a powerful enabler of sustainability and social progress.

Artificial Intelligence, the Internet of Things, Big Data, and information systems now play a crucial role in:

  • smart city development,
  • infrastructure management, and
  • modern learning methodologies.

However, technology alone is not sufficient.
We must also integrate:

  • human values,
  • ethical considerations, and
  • inclusive educational approaches
into every scientific and technological advancement.

This is the true meaning of interdisciplinary synergy:
not only working together, but thinking together to design a better tomorrow.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to all organizing committees and partner institutions, especially: Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM),
Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM),
and all supporting institutions,
for their dedication and hard work in making this conference possible.

To our distinguished keynote speakers and presenters, we greatly look forward to your valuable insights and scholarly contributions.
May this conference generate:

  • high-quality publications,
  • international research collaborations, and
  • inspiration for future innovations.

To all participants, I encourage you to actively engage in discussions, ask critical questions, and build meaningful global connections.
From forums like this, new ideas and long-term collaborations are born.

In closing, I sincerely hope that the 3rd Universitas Narotama International Conference (UNICE 2026) will be successful, productive, and impactful for the advancement of science, technology, and education.

Thank you very much for your kind attention.
Wassalamu’alaikum warahmatullahi Wabarokatuh
